Safety page for busy boards!

Please read the following before placing an order for busy boards and sensory boards. 

Supervision. Our busy boards have been designed and created to be artistic and inviting. However, this is a learning activity aid in which children and parents/carers can explore together. Supervision is essential at all times when using any busy board.

Equipment. We use screws and extra strong glue to fix the elements to the boards. The paint we use is child safe and water based. The glitter is ultra fine that is mixed with PVA glue prior to application for a smooth finish.

Age. Please let us know the age of the child who the busy board is for. For children aged 0-3, we can use elements without small parts and swap for more sensory items.

Testing. All elements are checked thoroughly before they are attached to your busy board. Every busy board is tested in house to ensure they are in perfect working order and follow the highest safety standards before dispatch.

Transit. After testing, your busy board is wrapped securely. Even though our boards have been safety tested before leaving us, we cannot guarantee the condition of your board after they have been in transit. Therefore, you should check for the small chance of any parts that may become loose in transit. This includes checking for loose parts over time, and before EVERY use.

Positioning. Our busy boards are safest when positioned on a flat surface- on a table, on the floor or securely fastened to the wall. We do not provide wall fastenings due to different types of walls and suitable wall fixings needed for individual walls. However, if you would like holes drilled in the corners, please let us know and we can do that for no extra charge. Busy boards are not to be used in the car.
